Hi I'm a new user and i work in the sign industry. I am having a lot of trouble getting LU to halo light a backsplash correctly when the emitter is very close to the backsplash. Like around 1 to 7 inches. When its that close it seems to be very irregular even when i set resolution to 5cm. Attached is a sample of what i am looking for. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Re: halo lighting
When area emitters get close to surfaces, you can get 'under sampling' of the emitter which appears as irregular / splotchy lighting.
Use the QueryTool to increase the emitter Density to 4.0 (or 8.0) to resolve this.
I've attached a simple example
